Morgellons, as with many other illnesses is complicated. It's symptoms are many, and can sometimes be difficult to diagnose.

The Morgellons Research Foundation offers a list of the most important 6 signs and symptoms of Morgellons that are used to help diagnose. someone with the disease. These symptoms are as follows. lesions on skin which is also always accompanied by an intense itching, a crawling, biting feeling on and under the skin. A feeling of tiredness that is so apparent that it can interfere with your normal daily activities, loss of concentration and memory loss, most common is fibers in, around and on the skin lesions which can be different colors such as red, black, blue and or green. Changes in ones Behavior has also been reported as a major sign along with the others mentioned.

Many if not all patients that show signs and symptoms of Morgellons always complain of an itching, biting sensation and feelings of bugs "crawling" on and or under the skin, other signs of Morgellons are skin legions which also have "fiber" like growth from within the legions. Also reported are fatigue, cognitive changes, loss of memory, changes in mood and serious hallucinations.

Many people who have symptoms of Morgellons disease are sometimes misdiagnosed with some of the following similar illnesses such ass, chronic fatigue syndrome, Lyme disease, delusional parasitosis which is a mental illness that consists of false beliefs about an infestation by parasites, and ADD(attention-deficit disorder)
